Black Bear Diner, the fast-growing, family dining concept that offers a one-of-a-kind experience and home-style comfort-food classics in a friendly, bear-themed atmosphere, announced the opening of its newest diner in Riverton, Utah, located at 12535 S. Rhetski Lane.
The new location will be open daily from 6 A.M. to 10 P.M., serving all of the diner’s classic, scrumptious, and hearty breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings. The 5,500-square-foot, 165-seat restaurant is franchise-owned and operated by Granite Peak Restaurants, and marks the franchisee’s third location in the area, joining its diners in West Jordan and Sandy. The restaurant will create approximately 50 new jobs for local residents, with some employees from surrounding Black Bear Diner locations being transferred to the Riverton location.
“We are always delighted to open a diner, and look forward to welcoming new guests and Black Bear Diner frequenters alike to our newest Utah location,” says Black Bear Diner Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer Bruce Dean. “Riverton is a perfect small town offering an amazing quality of life to its residents. In addition to serving some of the best extensive selections in town, we look forward to serving as an outstanding community partner to Riverton.”
The new Riverton location is nestled in the southwestern corner of the Salt Lake Valley and follows Black Bear Diner’s most recent unit opening in Washington, Utah on July 16. Frequently recognized as one of the country’s fastest-growing franchises and a “disruptor” in the family-dining segment, Black Bear Diner has been frequently acknowledged for its growth and performance, especially within the Family Dining segment. Black Bear Diner opened 21 units in 2017 and will open at least as many this year.
