Bennigan’s Franchising Company has opened a new restaurant in Fort Worth, marking its seventh location in the Lone Star state.

The new restaurant, located at the intersection of I-20 and Hulen Street, features the brand’s recent remodeling initiatives, including an enhanced bar scene and a lavish outside patio.

“The people of Fort Worth were missing the iconic Irish brand they remembered from the 90’s, and I am excited and humbled to be the one to bring this legendary brand back,” says Sunny Shaikh, Bennigan’s Fort Worth franchisee.

The new Fort Worth Bennigan’s will host a grand-opening party on January 9th with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:30 P.M. and drawings throughout the night for prizes and gift cards.

The 82-unit Bennigan’s company saw explosive growth in 2012, with new restaurant openings throughout Texas, as well as internationally in Dubai, El Salvador, and Korea.  Currently, Bennigan's has agreements to develop more than 30 new restaurants this calendar year including locations in New Jersey, Maryland, Texas, Virginia, Arkansas, Minnesota, Florida, Tennessee, and Michigan, as well as international openings slated for Mexico, Cyprus, and Korea. The company currently has 34 domestic and 48 international locations.

New and existing Bennigan's franchisees are benefitting from the chain's strong comeback, which began in May 2011, and has resulted in operational and service improvements that the company reports has increased same-store sales at prototype locations by double digits.
