In an effort to support the spouses and children of United States fallen and disabled military members, popular create-your-own stir-fry restaurant bd’s Mongolian Grill is hosting a campaign to benefit the Folds of Honor Foundation, beginning October 26.

Folds of Honor is a non-profit organization founded by Major Dan Rooney that works to provide educational scholarships for spouses and children of fallen and disabled service members. Of the one million-plus dependents adversely affected by deployments, nearly nine out of 10 family members do not qualify for federal scholarship assistance. Since 2007, Folds of Honor has carried forth this mission: Honor their sacrifice, educate their legacy.

During the fundraiser held October 26 through November 12, bd’s will sell $2 pin-up slips in exchange for $5 gift cards valid toward another visit to the restaurant. Additionally, bd’s will be donating a portion of all dine-in proceeds at participating locations on Thursday, November 9 from 11 am – 10 pm to Folds of Honor. Participating locations include: Ann Arbor, Auburn Hills, Canton, Dearborn, Novi, Royal Oak, Sterling Heights (MI), Bolingbrook, Naperville (IL), Denver (CO) Glendale (WI), and Lakeland (FL).

The following restaurants will begin the fundraiser on Monday, October 30: Pittsburgh (PA), Arena, Cleveland, Beavercreek, Easton, Sawmill, and Toledo (OH).

“Bd’s is proud to continuously support the Folds of Honor mission,” says Joe Phraner, President and COO of bd’s Mongolian Grill. “It’s rewarding to know that we are helping to provide educational scholarships to help our nation’s heroes and their families.”

In 2016, bd’s raised over $25,000 for Folds of Honor, contributing to the 10,000-plus scholarships granted since 2007.
