The Impossible Burger is making a major Ohio debut this Monday, November 6 launching at both Columbus Bareburgers in the Short North and Clintonville neighborhoods.

Bareburger was the first multi-unit restaurant group to launch the Impossible Burger when it debuted in March at the company’s LaGuardia Pl location in Manhattan. Since then, Bareburger has added the Impossible Burger to restaurants throughout the US including the NY tri-state region, Chicago, and Santa Monica.

“Being able to share this incredible burger with people all over the country has been a goal of Bareburger’s since we started serving it back in March,” says Euripides Pelekanos, Bareburger’s CEO and Founder. “Our guests love this burger so much, it has actually become one of our top-selling items.”

The arrival of the Bareburger-Impossible Burger in Columbus means that 38 of the 39 US Bareburgers are now serving this plant-based creation with Washington D.C. to follow in the next couple of weeks.

In development since 2011, the Impossible Burger is the world’s only burger that handles, smells, cooks and tastes like ground beef from cows—but is made entirely from plants. The Impossible Burger is produced without hormones, antibiotics, cholesterol or artificial flavors. It uses about 75 percent less water, generates about 87 percent fewer greenhouse gases, and requires around 95 percent less land than convent

Founded in 2009, Bareburger is in the business of feeding customers delicious organic and sustainable versions of their favorite foods. The decision to begin serving the super-sustainable Impossible Burger is built on this eight-year commitment. Bareburger serves the Impossible Burger as a pre-built burger with American cheese, dill pickles, caramelized onions, and special sauce on a brioche bun. The burger can also be customized to satiate anyone’s taste in the “Be My Burger” section of the menu.

Bareburger began serving in Columbus back in 2014 when it opened its doors at 463 N. High St. in Short North. Two years later the second Ohio Bareburger sprouted-up at 4650 N. High St. in Clintonville.

You can get your hands on Bareburger’s Impossible Burger at both the Short North and Clintonville locations beginning Monday, November 6.
