Roughly 50% of Americans eat lunch alone, while only 20% leave their desks to enjoy a daily lunch. Well, Bar Louie wants to throw those numbers out the office window along with the sad ham sandwich in a bag and celebrate a new lease on lunch life.
The popular Dallas-based chain is taking lunch back for the people on June 21 by inviting everyone to stage a walkout from the office and walk into the nearest Bar Louie for lunch. Guests may want to run to the walkout with the first 50 people at the door receiving a free item off the new lunch menu. Once there, they can enjoy an offering, like Louie’s Choice Cheeseburger, Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, Garden Goddess Sandwich and more – all for just $9.95! (Pricing and participation may vary based on location.)
“We’ve been known to be America’s Happy Hour and now we are taking over the lunch hour as well,” says Bar Louie CEO Brian Wright. “These days we see so many pathetic bag lunches being eaten from a cubicle, but with Bar Louie, leaving your desk for lunch becomes an instant vacation. So, clock out for an hour or two and walkout with your coworkers to join us for lunch!”
The walkout will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at participating Bar Louie locations. The first 50 guests to receive the complimentary lunch menu item must be dine-in and the offer is limited to parties of 12 or less. Bar Louie’s new lunch menu launched on Wednesday, May 24 and features an eclectic list of gourmet burgers and sandwiches, hearty salads and soups, plus scrumptious flatbreads.
