Manish Mallick, owner of Bar Goa in Chicago’s River North neighborhood and ROOH Chicago in the West Loop, will be honored with the Pride of India Award at this year’s World at the Global Eye G.S.A India 75 Expo. Mallick is among 75 outstanding Indians to be honored with the Pride of India award during this year’s summit at Sheraton Lisle Naperville Hotel December 15-17. 

Mallick is being recognized for his inclusive leadership and dedicated work in empowering the people of Chicago’s hospitality industry. “I’m blown away to be recognized for the Pride of India award. My goal has always been to elevate the Indian dining experience in Chicago through progressive, artfully vibrant and fun concepts, and it means the world to me that what we’ve created with Bar Goa and ROOH Chicago have been recognized,” says Mallick.

An awards jury through G.S.A India has specially selected Mallick for this year’s recognition, notably recognizing his impactful work in the local community and the culinary industry as a whole. On top of groundbreaking culinary concepts and leadership, Mallick ensured all communities and frontline heroes-in-need were served hundreds of fresh and delicious meals on a daily basis during the COVID pandemic. He personally delivered meals to various locations across the Chicago metro area including Englewood Montessori, YWCA, Northwestern Hospitals, AMITA Hospitals and Hungry Hood among others.
