Another Broken Egg Cafe announced Thursday that its local El Paso franchise owner and operator, Luis Romero, has signed a lease to bring the brand’s first location to the area. Romero, already a multi-unit, multi-brand franchisee with IHOP and Boston Pizza in Northern Mexico, recently signed a multi-unit agreement to bring three locations to the El Paso area. This first unit is slated to open in early 2023 and will be situated at 6767 Gateway Blvd, El Paso, Texas, 79925.
“I believe the community will receive Another Broken Egg with open arms,” says Romero, who has established an impressive restaurant portfolio and is still in his mid-30s. “There is pent-up demand for a brunch brand in El Paso that takes a creative culinary twist on everyone’s favorite meal. Another Broken Egg is the perfect fit, and it will offer the community a completely new experience.”
Romero launched his restaurant ownership and operations enterprise in 2014, and is no stranger to developing new locations from the ground up. His experience includes various aspects of restaurant operations, real estate and construction. His proven history of successful restaurant entrepreneurship and knowledge of the development process will be great assets as one of Another Broken Egg’s newest franchisees.
“Luis carries the vision and expertise of a skilled owner/operator that will ensure Another Broken Egg has a strong footing in El Paso,” says Jeff Sturgis, Chief Development Officer for Another Broken Egg Cafe. “His multi-unit operational experience is proof that he can run top tier restaurants. He fits perfectly with the expectations we have for Another Broken Egg ownership.”
Another Broken Egg Cafes feature a lively, modernized environment with a southern hospitality flair. The menu is loaded with fresh ingredients and creative recipes derived from traditional Southern favorites, like Shrimp ‘N Grits and sweet temptations like Bourbon Street Pancakes.
With a full bar complete with specialty mimosas and Bloody Marys, the franchise offers an indulgent brunch experience.
The brand is the largest actively franchising in the brunch-sector, welcoming 10 new cafes to its system in 2021. Four locations have opened in recent weeks, and the brand has added 13 cafes to its development pipeline this year. In total, 18 locations are set to open throughout the United States in 2022. The recent growth parallels Another Broken Egg’s most updated prototype, which features a warm, yet lively and modernized environment where food and beverages—including a full bar—come together to create a highly attractive environment.
