American Roadside Burgers, Inc. announced plans to celebrate National Hamburger Day with a ceremony and prize giveaway at the original Smithtown, New York, store. American Roadside celebrates National Hamburger Day with a yearlong contest to win a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle and other great prizes.

“Since Smithtown is home to our original store, we want to have the official celebration event with the folks that got us started,” says Rich LaVecchia, chairman and CEO.

An all-day event will be held at the store on Monday, May 28, with giveaways and free food and drink items, followed by a ceremony and prize giveaway at approximately 5 p.m. The ceremony will start with a check donation presentation to the Smithtown Emergency Food Pantry. The check presentation will occur at approximately 5 p.m.

“American Roadside gives a portion of the proceeds to every Signature Burger we sell to charities that support children and families in need, and we are honored to present a check to this great local Smithtown charity,” says Mike Cacace, director of American Roadside in Smithtown.

At approximately 6 p.m., the local Smithtown store will officially announce the winner of the National Hamburger Day Giveaway. The Grand Prize is a brand new Harley-Davidson Dyna Super-Glide Custom motorcycle. First place prizes include gas gift cards and second place prizes include American Roadside gift cards.

“If the winner of the Harley is in the audience, he or she will get the keys to their new Harley right then and there,” LaVecchia says.

The official National Hamburger Day celebration will be held at American Roadside Smithtown, 80 E. Main St. in Smithtown, New York on Monday, May 28, from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. A celebration and prize winner announcement will also occur at American Roadside’s Uptown Charlotte store at 440 S. Church St. in Charlotte, North Carolina.
