Named one of the fastest growing companies in the U.S. by the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City, Connecticut’s all-day brunch restaurant, The Place 2 Be, has opened its fifth location at 338 Elm Street in the space that formerly housed Box 63 in New Haven.

“Growing The Place 2 Be to now serve and become part of the New Haven area community is something we’ve been looking forward to all year. This space is particularly special and unique to our restaurant group with its stand-out features,” says Gina Luari, founder and CEO of TP2B. “To be able to open our new location on the heels of receiving such a tremendous recognition is amazing, and we are so honored.”

The restaurant boasts a two-story tall real trees indoors under a skylight and a 1,500 square-foot rooftop patio for the warmer months. Guests can expect the restaurant’s signature dishes and drinks, double-entendres, and well-known bathtub and rubber ducks interior design elements that patrons love for social media moments. TP2B New Haven is two floors and also features two bars.

Starting December 20, TP2B New Haven will be open seven days a week, from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Like TP2B’s other locations, TP2B New Haven does not accept reservations, however, guests can sign up for the waitlist online via the restaurant’s website the day of their visit.

This marks the fifth location the Hartford-based restaurant, with four other locations in West Hartford, downtown Hartford, the south end of Hartford, and Springfield, Massachusetts. A location in Dallas is also in the works.
