The Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute announced new Alaska crab point-of-sale materials. The pristine waters of Alaska are home to some of the most prized species of crab including wild, sustainable Alaska Snow, Alaska King, and Alaska Dungeness crab

According to Datassentials (January 2016), “Alaska” on the menu evokes impressions of freshness, great taste, purity and other health & wellness attributes. In fact, 94 percent of consumers are more likely to order a seafood dish when the word “Alaska” is used. Adding the descriptor “wild” and visual imagery of Alaska seafood to menus and point-of-sale materials also positively impacts ordering behavior.

ASMI partnered again with the creative talents of Jeff Foster, an artist who specializes in vintage illustrations of landscape and nature, to create the new Alaska crab point-of-sale materials. Resources to help increase sales include menu sheets, table tents, and posters for each crab species.

The Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) maintains a resource library including point-of-sale materials, training tools, cooking tips, recipes and market research to make seafood an easy addition to any menu.
