The Hope Farm, an urban farm and wine bar in Fairhope, Alabama, from father-son duo Robert and Bentley Evans, announces the opening of The Barn—a new on-premises restaurant. Serving as the farm’s latest venture, the newly renovated space offers premium coffee from Mobile-based craft coffee shop Nova Espresso in the mornings alongside The Hope Farm’s house-made pastries and a bistro-inspired menu for weekday lunch.
In line with The Hope Farm’s mission, The Barn’s seasonally rotating menu from Chef Adam Stephens utilizes produce from the property’s farm, blending top culinary talent from across the country with an abundance of local flavor to debut yet another elevated culinary experience for the estate. Guests can expect a line-up of fresh, daily baked goods, hearty salads, sandwiches, and small plates plus an accompanying raw bar selection of seafood and caviar service. Flavorful entree standouts include Grilled Hanger with frites & chimichurri and Scampi with Nduja, garlic, vermouth, lemon, brassicas, and orecchiette.
Heading up the new venture’s coffee program, Nova Espresso is a local favorite that first opened its doors in the heart of downtown Mobile, Alabama, in early 2019. The beverage program focuses on thoughtfully crafted espresso and coffee with a standout roasting process. Known for sourcing the best coffees from around the world, the company is bringing a creative, light-filled environment to The Barn that fosters the property’s tight-knit community and collaboration.
The 2,500-square-foot barn stays true to its original design with the use of beautiful, natural materials like stone floors and wood ceilings, infused with an added modern edge of darker tones, sleeker lines, and bold patterns. Guests can dine inside or sip coffee al fresco to take in the views via the spot’s plentiful outdoor seating. In the evenings, the space plans to host a revolving line-up of intimate chef dinners, wine tastings, and more.
