Agricole Hospitality announced EZ’s Liquor Lounge will open its doors at 3302 White Oak Drive on Monday, October 24 at 2pm. Inspired by Co-Owners Matt Tanner, Morgan Weber, Ryan Pera, and Vincent Huynh’s collective love of a good neighborhood dive, EZ’s is a playful, laid-back bar with a vintage feel in the heart of Houston’s Heights neighborhood.

“When we set out to open our version of a neighborhood bar, we knew we wanted it to be a place that people want to hang out day or night, with something for everyone. Our hope is for EZ’s to be that go-to, comfortable place where you come to watch sports, play games, and be with friends,” says Co-Owner Matt Tanner.

“It’s been a lot of fun to watch this concept come to life – EZ’s is all the things we love in a bar with the bonus of really stellar food and drink offerings,” say Agricole Hospitality owners Morgan Weber, Ryan Pera, and Vincent Huynh. “We think it will be a welcome addition to all the exciting things going on in the Heights right now, and we hope it becomes a place people immediately gravitate to as a comfortable, go-to spot for regular visits.”

On the Menu

Excellent drinks are first and foremost at EZ’s. The beverage menu, envisioned by Matt Tanner, includes well-made classics like The Famous EZ Margarita (Pueblo Viejo Blanco Tequila, Triple Sec, Lime Juice, Salt) and Freezer Martini (London Dry Gin, Vermouth Blend, Olives, Lemon Peel) and cocktails with creative twists like Hillbilly Highball (Salted Peanut Butter Bourbon, Mexican Coke, Peanuts) and Dulce de Leche Old Fashioned (Very Old Barton Bourbon, Angostura, Dulce de Leche, Dark Sugar Syrup, Clarified Lemon Juice, Clarified Milk), as well as frozen favorites and rotating daily specials. Ice cold beers are offered on draft and by the bottle, and a tight selection of red, white, and sparkling wines is available daily.

On the food side, EZ’s menu boasts no-frills, easy-eating bar snacks that include sharable favorites to start your evening like Pimiento Cheese with Hot Pickled Okra and TX Firecrackers, heartier bites for a casual dinner including hot dogs and chili, with standouts such as the Caliente Dog (RC Ranch Wagyu, Jalapeno Cheese, Onion, Habanero Honey Mustard, Garlic Celery Spice), and Chili Pies – customizable with Wild Boar Chili con Carne or Golden Veggie Chili – perfect for happy hour fuel or when the late-night munchies hit.

The Space

Located in a 1950s-era building directly next door to Agricole’s beloved Gulf Coast Italian restaurant Coltivare, EZ’s offers Heights residents and visitors the perfect relaxed spot to start or end the night with stiff drinks, chill vibes, and good company. The interiors, at once fresh and nostalgic, feature ample bar seating, high-top tables and lounge areas, and bold accents like neon wall signs and an orange-and-brown checkered floor.

Individual pieces throughout EZ’s hold special meaning for the owners and the neighborhood. Stand outs include an Alice’s Tall Texan figurine from the legendary, now-shuttered Heights bar, and a self-serve water tap for guests made from a vintage 1950s-era refrigerator passed down from Matt Tanner’s uncle, which has kept beers ice cold for almost 70 years, first in a bar in Galveston and later in a construction warehouse.

Hours of Operation

EZ’s Liquor Lounge is open Monday through Friday from 2pm – 2am and Saturday & Sunday from 11am – 2am.
