For the fifth year, Tuscan Kitchen in Salem, New Hampshire, will be hosting more than 1,000 local veterans and their families for a complimentary three-course Veteran’s Day luncheon of traditional, artisan Italian dishes. Tuscan Kitchen’s second location in Burlington, Massachusetts, is hosting its first annual luncheon for Burlington veterans since opening in 2014.

“At Tuscan Brands, we believe that giving back not only helps those who are less fortunate, but also allows us to create a meaningful connection with our community and the people in it,” says Tuscan Brands founder Joe Faro, who hosts the annual Veteran’s Day luncheon with wife Samantha and a team of volunteers from Tuscan Market and Tuscan Kitchen.

The luncheon, which runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., is open to all veterans who live in Salem and Burlington; reservations must be made in advance by calling each location after receiving an invitation by mail.

In addition to the Tuscan Brands team of volunteers who acted as servers, greeters, bussers, and more, area organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Salem, the Homeland Heroes Foundation, and Building Dreams for Marines, also volunteered at the event.

The Homeland Heroes Foundation provides the opportunity to donate pillows and blankets to American soldiers now serving abroad.

Building Dreams for Marines offers help to those who have served and have a physically limiting condition, with life enhancing modifications to their homes. Building Dreams for Marines steps in to provide no-cost planning, designing, and building services.
