Tijuana Flats’ Just in Queso Foundation, which provides aid to individuals, communities, and organizations in need, held its seventh annual fundraiser, raising money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).

From September 30 to October 31, Tijuana Flats donated $3 from every bottle sold of its Just In Queso charity hot sauce to BCRF. Customers purchased the hot sauce both online and in any of the brand’s 97 locations. New this year, was the option to “Make It Pink,” which for a one dollar donation, guests were able to have a pink tortilla for their hard or soft taco entrée.

“We challenged ourselves to top last year’s donation by including more ways for guests to donate,” says Just in Queso president Dede Franklin. “We are pleased to contribute to this deserving charity year after year, as our revitalized campaign raised five times more donations than last year.”

Tijuana Flats’ top performing locations were Lake Nona in which raised $9,100 and the Stuart, Florida location, which raised $9,081.

“We’re so proud that our staff members went above and beyond our expectations,” says Ashley Montgomery, Tijuana Flats marketing director. “From decorating the restaurant, and themselves, top to bottom in pink every day, to holding car washes and participating in local breast cancer awareness events, they gave it their all and are truly the reason why this campaign was so successful.”

The donation Tijuana Flats is providing this year will fund one entire BCRF research project in 2013–2014.
