The Bistro Group, the nation’s third largest franchisee of TGI Friday's restaurants, announces their fourth annual Can For A Fan virtual food drive benefitting 9 regional food banks. Now through October 15, TGI Friday's in the greater Cincinnati, Dayton, Youngstown, Lexington, Louisville, Owensboro, Paducah, Charleston, and Pittsburgh communities will donate one can of food to a local food bank for each new Facebook fan at Facebook.com/EatAtTGIFridays. TGI Friday's is hosting this virtual food drive as a fun and easy way for individuals to make an impact in their community.

This year the initiative is expanding to include individual Bistro Group location Facebook page likes as well. In addition to promoting the Can For A Fan campaign on Facebook, guests that attend the Bartender Championships at each location will be invited to log on to Facebook and like their local fan page. For each like received on the local TGI Friday's pages, an additional canned good will be donated to the local food bank partner in that area. All local fan pages can be found on the Can For A Fan Tab placed on each location’s Facebook page.

“We’re thrilled to continue the Can For A Fan campaign for our fourth year,” shares Amie Dancu, Director of Marketing for the TGI Friday's franchisee. “The services the community food banks provide in our neighborhoods are critical, and we look forward to giving our support as part of The Bistro Group family’s continued commitment to the community. We also look forward to increasing the number of donations we receive through Facebook likes, by adding in our individual location pages to the campaign as well.”

Food banks and non-profit organizations participating in the initiative, and receiving canned goods, include the Daniel Pitino Shelter in Owensboro, Dare to Care in Louisville, The Foodbank in Dayton, Freestore Foodbank in Cincinnati, Greater Pittsburgh Community Foodbank, God’s Pantry in Lexington, Martha’s Vineyard Foodbank in Paducah, Mountaineer Food Bank in Charleston, and Second Harvest Food Bank in Youngstown.
