P.J.W. Restaurant Group presented a $75,000 contribution during the seventh annual “Change the Luck of a Child” telethon hosted by CBS 3 and The CW Philly benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Philadelphia Region, Inc.

Patrons of the 13 P.J. Whelihan’s and three locations of The Pour House in New Jersey and Pennsylvania made generous donations throughout the month of March by purchasing shamrocks from their servers for varying amounts. The 14-hour on-air telethon raises funds to support children throughout Delaware, Southeastern Pennsylvania, and New Jersey utilizing Ronald McDonald Houses, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, college scholarships, and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile.

During last year’s drive P.J.W. Restaurant Group and their loyal customers raised $58,867. “This year we had a goal to raise $70,000,” says Jim Fris, chief operating officer of P.J.W. Restaurant Group. “We rallied the troops and our staff worked all month to gather as many contributions as possible—while making donations of their own. Beating our goal by $5,000 is a true testament to the kind, caring nature of our team, the communities in which we serve and our loyal customers. They continue to inspire us.”
