Throughout the month of October, North Carolina-based Eschelon Experiences restaurants partnered with Tammy Lynn Center during the company’s quarterly Month of Giving event.

Guests dining at Mura @ North Hills, The Oxford, Zinda New Asian, Cameron Bar & Grill, and Faire Steak & Seafood were encouraged to donate by adding $1 or more to their bill at the end of their meal. By the month’s end, Eschelon set a new Month of Giving record by raising $3,414, with Cameron Bar & Grill raising $2,267.

Month of Giving is one way Eschelon raises funds and awareness for its core nonprofit partners which include: Hope for Haiti Foundation, Tammy Lynn Center, Raleigh City Farm, and Tammy Lynn Center.

Every quarter the restaurant group highlights one of its partners through print materials and online support, urging the local community to take action and help in a simple way.

“Giving back to our community has been a key principle since our beginning,” says Gaurav “G” Patel, founder and president of Eschelon Experiences. “I’m proud of our restaurants, staff, and of course our guests for continuing the tradition of giving back to our community in impactful and inspiring ways, not just during our Month of Giving events, but throughout the entire year.”

One hundred percent of the proceeds raised in October directly benefit Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities.Founded in 1969, the Raleigh-based non-profit offers education, residential, therapeutic, and family support services to children and adults with special needs. The Center’s goal is to provide the individuals it serves the opportunity to maximize their abilities in a loving, nurturing environment.

The October Month of Giving event rounded-out the company’s fundraising efforts for 2014, bringing Eschelon’s fundraising total to $19,488. In addition to fundraising, the staff at Eschelon has chipped in 230 man-hours of volunteering to make a difference at each of the company’s core nonprofit partners.
