Another Broken Egg is opening two locations in the nation that will host events to fundraise for local nonprofits.
In Miamisburg, Ohio, Another Broken Egg Cafe (ABEC) will officially open Monday, Nov. 10, 2014 in Austin Landing at 3450 Rigby Rd. The 3,457-square-foot restaurant will seat 120 inside and another 36 on a patio, which overlooks Austin Landings' expansive outdoor park in this new 142-acre development.
"The Austin Landing location is a perfect market for our first Another Broken Egg Cafe due to its proximity to the major thoroughfare and the amenities provided by Austin Landing," says Mike Craddick, franchisee and area developer Mike of Centerville. "The restaurant opening also creates 25 to 35 new jobs."
Prior to the grand opening, there will be three private Friends & Family days to benefit a worthy local cause, United Rehabilitation Services of Dayton. The Friends & Family dates are Nov. 6, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Nov. 7, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Nov. 8, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
United Rehabilitation Services' (URS) mission is to enhance the quality of life for children and adults with disabilities or other special needs. URS was originally founded in 1956 as the Dayton Chapter of United Cerebral Palsy and is now providing services every day to more than 400 children and adults with Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy, Autism, Alzheimer's, Pervasive Developmental Disorders, and many other disabilities.
ABEC mug collectors will also look forward to finding the new Austin Landing motif on the hand-thrown stoneware used for coffee service and hot beverages. Each ABEC location has its own distinctive symbol on the American made design, which is produced in various colors year round.
In Florida, Jake Alleman, franchisee and managing partner of Cojak Investments, LLC is pleased to announce the Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 opening of Jacksonville’s first Another Broken Egg Cafe in Tapestry Park, 4820 Deer Lake Dr. in West Jacksonville, Florida.
The 2,642-square-foot restaurant will have seating for 72 inside and an additional 83 seats on the expansive outdoor patio.
The public is invited to come dine at no charge for two fundraising events as part of the grand opening festivities. The fundraiser on Oct. 31, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., supports PACE Center for Girls PACE provides girls and young women an opportunity for a better future through education, counseling, training and advocacy.
The fundraiser on Nov. 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.,benefits Big Brothers, Big Sisters of NE Florida. The Big Brothers Big Sisters Mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
ABEC mug collectors will also look forward to finding the motif of Jacksonville’s state flag with Andrew Jackson on his rearing horse, represented on the hand-thrown stoneware used for coffee service and hot beverages.
Jacob Alleman and his business partners, Cody Gielen and John Dan Gielen of Cojak Investments, LLC, own and operate existing Another Broken Egg Cafes in Louisiana, Florida, and Alabama.
Alleman worked at Another Broken Egg Cafe for founder Ron Green while in college in Mandeville, Louisiana, and Sandestin, Florida. After graduating from Louisiana State University, he opened his first Another Broken Egg Cafe in Lafayette in December 2007, making him Green’s first franchisee.
“We are pleased to become part of the Jacksonville community and to support three remarkable, nonprofit organizations for our opening festivities here in the Sunshine State,” Alleman says. “This new Another Broken Egg Cafe also creates approximately 30 new jobs in the community.”
