David Burke Group, the acclaimed restaurant empire founded by Chef David Burke, is pleased to announce the reopening of David Burke at Bloomingdale’s, also known as Burke in the Box.

Following a month-long renovation, this retail dining destination boasts updated décor; a convenient, take-out, grab-and-go layout; spacious dining; and a refreshed menu.

“We are thrilled to reintroduce David Burke at Bloomingdale’s to our guests who rely on the restaurant for delicious and convenient dining,” says Stephen Goglia, president and CEO of the David Burke Group. “The renovations at our iconic Midtown Manhattan restaurant not only revitalize the restaurant and café, but also provide a heightened experience for diners, shoppers, and locals alike.”

Diners visiting the updated restaurant will find chic furniture upgrades, a new color palette, additional counter seating, and an open kitchen layout. The take-out section has also been expanded and restyled, allowing food items to be easily accessed for guests on the go. This new layout creates an environment more conducive to hosting various types of events.

In addition to a revitalized atmosphere, David Burke at Bloomingdale’s now features a day-to-night concept through extensive menu offerings, intimate lighting, adaptable decor, and more. Patrons can enjoy distinct offerings, from live musical entertainment to specialty wine dinners and Fancy Friday’s in this brand new space.

Under the direction of Executive Chef Jose Max Lavariega, the revamped menus feature tasty light bites and delicious indulgent dishes, such as Tuna Nicoise, Lobster Wedge Salad, Roasted Mushroom Pizza, Roasted Duck Breast, BBQ Miso Salmon, and a Kitchen Sink Sundae.  

Signature favorites including The Juicy Burker and the Cheesecake Lollipop Tree will maintain their places on the menus. Those looking for refreshing cocktails can sip on the ever-popular Not Your Momma’s Cosmo, Bloomies Beauty,Midtown Mule, Basil & Gin Sizzle and Espresso Martini, all of which are exclusive to David Burke at Bloomingdale’s.

Located at 1000 Third Ave. in the Bloomingdale’s 59th Street flagship location, David Burke at Bloomingdale’s has been serving up quick and delicious cuisine since 2005 to Midtown Manhattan’s shoppers, professionals, and local residents. The restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner, and also serves brunch on the weekends.
