Celebrated chefs Tom Gray and Kevin Sbraga have joined forces to offer Jacksonville, Florida, diners a unique opportunity to sample their fare in an intimate and collaborative environment. Moxie Kitchen + Cocktails will host a collaboration dinner on August 29 with seatings at 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. Tickets cost $99 per person (including tax and gratuity) and include three family-style courses (both chefs will contribute a dish to each course) and four cocktails.

The menu for this collaboration dinner will include the following items:

To Begin: Cheddar Biscuits and BBQ Butter from Moxie Kitchen + Cocktails.

First Course: Kale Salad with Benne and Blue Cheesefrom Sbraga & Company, Falafel with Pimento Yogurt from Sbraga & Company, and Heirloom Tomato and Ricotta Tartfrom Moxie Kitchen + Cocktails.

Second Course: Dry Aged Beef with Smoked Onion and Carrots and Pesto from Sbraga & Company, Wood-Fired Local Fish with BBQ Glazefrom Moxie Kitchen + Cocktails.

On the Side: Dirty Rice and Braised Mustard Green from Sbraga & Company, Potatoes with Buttermilk and Bacon from Sbraga & Company, Summer Squash and Chimichurri from Moxie Kitchen + Cocktails, and Fairytale Eggplant and Charred Tomato from Moxie Kitchen + Cocktails.

Dessert: Peanut Butter Banana Pudding from Sbraga & Company, and Mississippi Mud Milkshake and Toasted Marshmallow from Moxie Kitchen + Cocktails.

Gray, the owner and executive chef of Moxie Kitchen + Cocktails, is a two-time James Beard Best Chef: South nominee (2009 and 2010). Sbraga is the owner and executive chef of Sbraga Dining, a Philadelphia-based restaurant group that includes Sbraga, The Fat Ham, and Sbraga & Company (opening this fall in Jacksonville). As the host chef, Gray expresses excitement for Sbraga’s arrival in the Northeast Florida culinary community.

"Part of what grows a city is having a rich and diverse culinary scene, and Kevin Sbraga certainly brings another layer of culinary talent to Jacksonville,” Gray says. “I invited Kevin to do this dinner together so that I could personally welcome him and the Sbraga & Company team to our city and culinary community. It has been a true pleasure getting to know him after admiring his work and following his career over the years. My team and I look forward to collaborating and cooking with him in our kitchen for this unique event."

Sbraga echoes Gray’s enthusiasm.
