The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced the nominees for the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards and recognized the team behind SCETV’s “A Chef’s Life.”

The show received nominations in the Outstanding Directing in a Lifestyle/Culinary/Travel Program and Outstanding Single Camera Photography categories.

This news comes on the heels of last month’s James Beard Foundation Book, Broadcast, and Journalism Award finalist announcement in which the team was nominated in three categories: Outstanding Food Personality/Host, Visual and Technical Excellence, and TV Program on Location.

The Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony will be televised April 26 live at 8 p.m. EST from the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California. The JBF Book, Broadcast, and Journalism Awards Dinner will take place in New York on Friday, April 24, at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers.

“We’re humbled and honored that the Emmy and James Beard committees recognized our work,” says Vivian Howard, the show’s host, producer, and chef. “We’re just a small PBS show that’s showcasing a slice of life in eastern North Carolina, [and] these are definitely some exciting distinctions.”
