On June 23, Autre Monde Café and Spirits is hosting a collaborative culinary experience with four Chicago-area restaurants for a Friends of James Beard Dinner, a one-night-only event benefitting the James Beard Foundation Programs and Scholarships. Host Chefs and Autre Monde Executive Chefs Dan Pancake and Beth Partridge team up with Chicago’s culinary superstars, including James Beard Award Winner Chef Tony Mantuano of Spiaggia, Chef Danny Mejia of mfk, Chef Cameron Grant and Aldo Zaninotto of Osteria Langhe, Dave and Meghan Miller of Baker Miller, and CH Distillery. This collaborative dinner experience brings together cocktails, wine and great food to directly benefit the James Beard Foundation Scholarship Program.

“The James Beard Foundation fosters and supports the future of our industry, and we are thrilled to come together with peers whom we greatly admire for this cause,” says Autre Monde co-owner Christine Tully Aranza. “Together with Tony, who has been a huge influence to the Autre Monde team, we are proud to collaborate with our Chicago culinary colleagues who share a similar philosophy of great neighborhood restaurants with a deep appreciation for authenticity.”

The evening begins with cocktails by Autre Monde’s House Mixlogist Becci Visconti West created in partnership with CH Distillery, together with Mediterranean-inspired hors d'oeuvres by Chef Mantuano. Guests then gather in the newly renovated dining room to indulge in inspired courses by Chefs Pancake and Partridge, Autre Monde’s Chef de Cuisine Andrew Kerns, Chef Mejia, Chef Grant, and Dave and Meghan Miller. Throughout the evening, Certified Sommelier and Autre Monde’s Beverage Director, John Aranza, works together with Osteria Langhe’s Wine Director, Aldo Zaninotto and mfk Owner and Beverage Director, Scott Worsham to provide the perfect wine pairings to complement the cuisine.

The dinner takes place at Autre Monde Café and Spirits on June 23 at 6:30 p.m., and tickets ($175) can be purchased by calling the restaurant.
