Sushi-san at Catalog in Willis Tower (233 S. Wacker Dr.) is opening for grab-and-go dining on Monday, August 30. The newest Sushi-san will offer their signature assortment of maki and nigiri, in addition to dishes unique to Willis Tower.

Led by Master Sushi Chef Kaze Chan, both Sushi-san locations source the best ingredients from across the globe. Through a direct partnership with the Yamasaki family at the Toyosu Fish Market, Sushi-san receives daily deliveries of the freshest fish and seafood available.

Sushi-san Willis Tower’s menu features build-your-own bento boxes and a variety of freshly-rolled maki, as well as edamame hummus, spicy szechuan tofu, seaweed salad and a collection of Japanese candies. These menu items are available for convenient grab-and-go pickup.

In addition to the a la carte menu, Sushi-san Willis Tower offers large format catering like maki platters, individually packaged bento boxes and more.

Coming soon to this location will be order ahead pick-up and a 10-seat hand roll bar experience where guests can enjoy rolled-to-order hand rolls – like crunchy fatty tuna, umami scallop, and more, available a la carte or in packs of three, four or five. Reservations for the hand roll bar will be available through Yelp Waitlist; a select number of seats will be held to accommodate walk-ins pending availability.

Sushi-san’s well-known blast-chilled Asahi drafts, Toki highballs and a selection of sake will be available only at the hand roll bar. Bottled cocktails, beer, wine and sake are available to-go.

To celebrate the opening, the Sushi-san team will be hosting an oma-KAZE in the Sky. This 14-course omakase experience will take place on the 99th floor at Willis Tower and features hyper-seasonal ingredients flown in from around the world. The dinner will be led by Master Sushi Chef Kaze Chan and is on Thursday, October 28 at 8:30 PM.
