bd’s Mongolian Grill announced the promotion of Brad Russell to director of marketing. Russell will continue to report to bd’s Mongolian Grill president and COO Joe Phraner.

Russell has been with the company for 10 years serving in key marketing roles, most recently as senior marketing manager. Russell is responsible for developing and leading the execution of bd’s marketing and advertising strategies to grow sales, traffic, and profitability for the franchisee community and corporate restaurants.

“Brad’s dedication and passion for the brand is apparent to all of us and he will continue to play a vital role in spearheading our marketing strategies,” Phraner says. “He is a strong leader and we look forward to his continued contributions.”

Before joining bd’s, Russell worked for three years at Franco Public Relations in Detroit. Russell holds a bachelor’s degree in advertising from Michigan State University.

“I’m honored by this incredible opportunity, and I look forward to continuing to work closely with our franchisees and general managers as bd’s Mongolian Grill continues to expand,” Russell says.
