Broadway Hospitality Group announced Rich Vallente as the new Chief Officer of Culinary as it plans to establish 10 new restaurants in the upcoming years.

With over 30 years of experience, Vallente intends to grow the hospitality group as a whole, with an emphasis on Tavern in the Square’s “Proudly Independent” mission. 

Prior to opening 34 Legal Sea Foods, Vallente was the former chef-owner of a three-star restaurant in Massachusetts and spent time cooking in various esteemed restaurants throughout Italy. He most recently served as Executive Director at Lean Enterprise Institute, where he led the advancement of lean thinking and practices in the hospitality and restaurant services industries and oversaw business operations and training. Vallente has been featured on national TV shows such as Good Morning America and Food Network and top-tier publications such as the Wall Street Journal and Food & Wine. He was also awarded “Executive Chef of the Year” by the Massachusetts Restaurant Association in 2018.
