Wingstop Restaurants, Inc. announced the appointment of Flynn Dekker as its CMO to oversee the brand positioning, marketing strategy, and advertising execution for the chain’s 600 domestic and international locations.

“Flynn is an exceptional leader with a great vision for restaurant marketing, and we’re excited to welcome him to Wingstop,” says Wingstop president and CEO Charlie Morrison. “I know Flynn’s achievements first-hand, having worked with him at previous stops in my career. He brings a distinguished background of experience and expertise to the table, and he will be a valuable contributor at Wingstop as we continue our record-setting growth.”

Dekker brings more than 20 years of leadership experience to his new post and most recently served as the CMO at Pizza Inn Holdings, Inc. directing the marketing for the award-winning Pie Five Pizza Co. and Pizza Inn restaurant brands. Prior to that he owned his own upscale restaurant, was CMO for Fogo de Chão and held senior marketing positions with Metromedia Restaurant Group, FedEx Kinkos, EMI Music Distribution, and Blockbuster.

The new appointment follows a record-breaking year at Wingstop that included 10 consecutive years of same store sales increases, 75 new restaurant openings, and additional international expansion with restaurants in Russia and Singapore.
