The Rock, Wood Fired Pizza & Spirits, an award-winning gourmet pizza restaurant with a gritty rock-‘n’-roll vibe, opened its newest location in Anchorage, Alaska on Monday, October 21. The new restaurant, adjacent to Northway Mall, is the 21st installment of The Rock, which currently has locations in Washington State, Oregon, Colorado, and Alberta, Canada.

“We’re so excited to be rocking in Alaska,” says Don Bellis, co-founder and president of The Rock. “The family culture of our restaurant provides a great place for the community to unwind and enjoy a superb meal.”

“We know Anchorage will dig our gourmet pies and rock-‘n’-roll concept and we love that we’ve been welcomed so warmly by the public,” says Jay Gigandet, co-founder and CFO of The Rock.

The contractor for the 7,200-square-foot Anchorage restaurant was Jackson Dean Construction of Tukwila, Washington, and the architect was David A. Clark Architects of Auburn, Washington. The new franchise restaurant is owned and operated by Gigandet and Bellis’ Wedge Corp. which also owns corporate Washington state locations in Seattle, Covington, Federal Way, Lake Tapps, Lynnwood, Mill Creek, Renton, Puyallup, Lacey, and Tacoma.

Guests at The Rock can choose from an award-winning menu of rock ‘n’ roll-inspired pizzas as well as pastas, sandwiches, salads, appetizers, specialty Rocktails, and more.
