Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews was once again included on the annual list of “Top 10 Most Allergy-Friendly Restaurant Chains in America” by AllergyEats, a leading guide to allergy-friendly restaurants nationwide. For the fourth consecutive year, Red Robin has earned a top spot in recognition of its efforts to provide safe choices for guests with food allergies.

“At Red Robin, we understand how difficult dining out can be when trying to avoid certain ingredients and the challenges faced when finding an accommodating menu,” says Jonathan Muhtar, senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Red Robin. “We want guests to feel comfortable at Red Robin, and we are committed to creating a dining experience that is both safe and enjoyable for all guests, including those with food allergies or intolerances.”

"Congratulations to Red Robin Gourmet Burgers for once again earning a position on this prestigious list,” adds Paul Antico, founder and CEO of AllergyEats.  “AllergyEats users continue to give Red Robin high marks for their superior willingness and ability to accommodate guests with food allergies, including the use of broad staff training, strong procedures and protocols, and cutting-edge technology.  We appreciate Red Robin’s ongoing commitment to allergy-friendliness, and we’re sincerely delighted to recognize that ‘Top 10 commitment’ for the fourth straight year.”

Red Robin has taken steps to ensure allergen safety both online and in restaurant so guests can make informed decisions. Through Red Robin’s Customizer Hub online, guests can create different combinations of ingredients and menu items, allowing them to tailor their meal based on taste preferences, nutritional goals and dietary restrictions. Within the Customizer Hub is an Interactive Allergen Menu, where guests can select the allergens they want to avoid and then receive a menu customized specifically for their needs.

All Red Robin team members are trained to guide guests through the menu to help them customize their order based on their needs. Once guests inform team members of a food allergy in restaurant, they follow step-by-step guidelines to ensure food safety. The kitchen receives an allergy alert so they can take special precautions when preparing their orders and use a special allergen kit, which includes tools that are only for use on allergen orders.
