Quaker Steak & Lube brought a new restaurant to League City, Texas. The Lube opened to the public Wednesday, June 18, at 11 a.m.

The restaurant will create close to 100 jobs for the area and will be the fourth Quaker Steak & Lube location in Texas. The new Lube is located at 2502 Gulf Freeway South.

The restaurant will encompass an 8,000-square-foot design while accommodating seating for more than 350 people. The location also has two bars and an enclosed patio. High-definition televisions will show all the biggest sports events and games throughout the restaurant.

“We can feel the excitement in League City brewing for Quaker Steak & Lube to open,” says Wayne Schilleci, assistant general manager. “We can’t wait to share The Lube’s award-winning food, real motorcycles, authentic cars, and tons of fun.”

In celebration of The Lube’s grand opening, the League City Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of Quaker Steak & Lube at 10:45 a.m. on June 18. Commerce Ambassadors and city officials were present, as well as representatives from The Lube.

The first 100 guests received VIP cards, and The Lube also had live music by the Anika Chambers Band from 4 to 10 p.m. on opening day.
