As restaurant-goers across the country gear up for a return to school, a change of season, fewer hours of sunlight and the impending holiday rush, Perkins Restaurant & Bakery is taking the edge off with a Great Plates value menu.

From now through November 3, 2013, Perkins guests will be introduced to a medley of new entrees ranging from a savory sweet-glazed Homemade Meatloaf served over mashed potatoes and topped with crispy onions and a rich beef gravy, served with buttered corn and a dinner roll, to a Grown-Up Grilled Cheese, featuring a Parmesan herb-crusted sourdough bread, cheeses, and bacon, crunchy on the outside with a melt-in-your-mouth experience on the inside. All 15 Great Plates items, including a Mushroom & Swiss Omelette, Chipotle Jack Burger, and Double Catch – two crispy panko breaded cod fillets, paired with four jumbo fried shrimp and served with fries, “will over deliver on flavor and presentation expectations, satisfy the most hearty of appetites and be gentle on the purse strings,” according to Glenn Drasher, senior director of Marketing, Perkins Restaurant & Bakery.

In addition to the Great Plates, guests can enjoy seasonal items from the Fall Features menu including the Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal Pancake Platter, featuring three buttermilk pancakes made with pumpkin, oatmeal and pumpkin pie spices, topped with cinnamon-spiced whipped topping and served with two eggs, choice of hash browns, breakfast potatoes or fresh fruit, and a choice of two bacon strips or two sausage links.

Perkins legendary menu including breakfast, lunch, and dinner offerings as well as Perkins freshly prepared bakery products, will also be available.
