Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom, a traditional casual dining restaurant known for its handmade pizza and craft beers, announced that its newest location is slated to open in Katy, Texas, at 24515 Katy Freeway, Suite 100. The new restaurant, scheduled to open on October 26, will be the city’s first location and will create around 120 jobs for the area. To celebrate the upcoming opening, Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom has partnered with Target Hunger, which works to alleviate hunger and its root causes in the neighborhoods they serve, and will donate proceeds from its preview events on October 23-24 to the organization.

“Katy residents are in for a treat as we prepare to introduce them to our freshly hand-made pizza, diverse menu of world-class craft beers and quality, handcrafted taproom classics,” says Scott Wilson, general manager of Old Chicago Pizza & Taproom in Katy. “We’re proud to partner with Target Hunger to celebrate Old Chicago’s opening and we look forward to becoming a favorite dining destination for local residents and businesses in the Katy community.”

Old Chicago serves its made-from-scratch pizza in locations nationwide and offers two crust types that are made in-house every day—Chicago Thick, a buttery hand-tossed cornmeal crust, served in the pan and Ale Crust, a soft and lightly sweetened handcrafted crust spiked with brown ale. Loaded with a variety of toppings, every pizza is made to order. Some of the most popular specialty pizza selections include:

Chicago 7 Pizza: Pepperoni, Italian sausage, red onions, black olives, green peppers, sliced mushrooms, and signature house pizza sauce.

Meat Me Pizza: Loaded with four premium meaty toppings and garnished with green olives, and fresh basil.

Thai Pie: Roasted chicken, mushrooms, red peppers, broccoli and Thai chili sauce, topped with green onions, teriyaki, sesame seeds, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese.

Tuscan Chicken with Spinach: Lemon garlic sauce, sun-dried tomatoes, applewood spiced chicken, bruschetta tomatoes, and roasted garlic, then topped with fresh spinach tossed in lemon vinaigrette.
