First Watch announced plans to open its eighth restaurant in Southeast Florida in early 2014. The restaurant, located at 4717 N. Ocean Drive in the Sea Ranch Center, will employ approximately 25 people.

The new 3,949-square-foot restaurant will occupy the space formerly held by Sea Ranch Diner in the Publix Super Markets-anchored retail center. It will undergo a complete renovation and update including the addition of a patio for outdoor dining. The Sea Ranch Lakes restaurant will mark the eighth restaurant for First Watch in Southeast Florida. There are currently 41 restaurants in Florida.

News of the Sea Ranch Lakes restaurant follows two other recent announcements impacting Southeast Florida, which included details on a restaurant in Deerfield Beach scheduled to open in early 2014 and the relocation of the Boca Raton restaurant in Boca Village Square.

“Sea Ranch Lakes is a vibrant, close-knit community and one that we’re looking forward to introducing to our unique daytime-only concept,” says Chris Tomasso, chief marketing officer for First Watch. “Southeast Florida is a great market for us, and given the recent success of our other openings in the region, we continue to explore opportunities to expand.”

First Watch has opened two restaurants in the area in recent months, including one in the Mission Bay Plaza at 20401 State Road 7 in Boca Raton and one in the Plaza at Wellington Green at 2335 S. State Road 7 in Wellington.

The new Sea Ranch Lakes restaurant will feature an interior design concept that connects traditional First Watch design elements with contemporary executions by maximizing natural light provided during the restaurant’s daytime hours. The design also incorporates color tones intended to convey the warm and inviting personality of the First Watch brand and accentuates an open-kitchen concept, which reinforces First Watch’s honest approach to fresh food preparation.
