In the spirit of sharing and giving this holiday season, on Thanksgiving Day more than 3,000 The Cheesecake Factory staff members will join together in 13 cities around the United States to prepare and serve sit-down meals at The Cheesecake Factory’s 15th annual Thanksgiving Day Feast.

The Cheesecake Factory’s Thanksgiving Day Feast is sponsored by its charitable foundation and will take place at select Salvation Army locations coast to coast in Anaheim, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Long Island, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. More than 6,000 low-income individuals and families will be treated to a full-service, sit-down meal that includes freshly roasted turkey with all the trimmings and The Cheesecake Factory’s famous seasonal Pumpkin Cheesecake.

“The Cheesecake Factory values giving back to our communities around the country and we are honored to be serving our 15th annual Thanksgiving Day Feast,” says David Overton, founder and CEO of The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated. “We’re so thankful and appreciative of our staff members who volunteer their precious time on Thanksgiving to help us provide a special meal to the less fortunate.”

In addition to enjoying a hot meal, invitees are once again able to partake in various arts and crafts activities during the Thanksgiving Day Feast. From creating festive fall-inspired headbands and themed coloring pages to decorating tree trunks with personal messages of thankfulness and well-wishes, these fun crafts will add to each family’s memorable Thanksgiving experience.

The annual Thanksgiving Day Feast is one of several programs that The Cheesecake Factory has initiated to help support hunger-relief in America. The company also participates in a nationwide Harvest Food Donation Program by regularly donating fresh food from its restaurants to local food rescue operations for distribution to soup kitchens and shelters to aid those in need. Since the program’s inception in 2007, The Cheesecake Factory has donated more than 3.9 million pounds of food. Additionally, The Cheesecake Factory has donated nearly $4.4 million to Feeding America, the nation’s largest organization dedicated to fighting domestic hunger through a network of food banks, through their partnership over the past eight and a half years.

As additional support for Feeding America, The Cheesecake Factory staff members nationwide participated in a Peanut Butter Drive during September’s Hunger Action Month, collecting more than 225,000 pounds of peanut butter to benefit local Feeding America food banks. Peanut butter is a crucial item for food banks, supplying a protein-filled option for school lunches and meals for families.
