The National Restaurant Association today announced that Sally Smith will be the keynote speaker of BAR (Beverage Alcohol for Restaurants) at the National Restaurant Association, Restaurant Hotel-Motel Show, taking place on May 17 and 18 at Chicago’s McCormick Place.

Smith brings her industry leadership and insight as president and CEO of Buffalo Wild Wings to open BAR 15 (formerly known as the International Wine, Spirits and Beer Event) with an informative keynote presentation.

Smith will discuss the evolution of Buffalo Wild Wings’ beverage program and explain how the investment in elevating the brand’s program with the addition of craft beers, cocktails, and more has contributed to its overall success in the marketplace.

“We are honored to have Sally Smith lend her insight and expertise to kick off BAR 15 as the inaugural keynote speaker of this newly re-branded event,” says John C. Metz, convention chair for NRA Show 2015 and CEO, executive chef, and co-founder of Marlow’s Tavern, Aqua Blue, and Sterling Spoon Culinary Management. “The value she places in Buffalo Wild Wings’ beverage program is exemplary in a brand of that size and provides a perfect example of how investing time, energy, and capital can bring huge returns for a restaurant.”

Smith’s keynote speech will kick off the beverage-alcohol show within a show, starting at 11 a.m. on May 17, 2015.
