The RAM Restaurant Group was honored for the 11th consecutive year by the North American Brewers’ Association at the 20th Annual North American Beer Awards, in conjunction with Idaho Beer Week, on June 3 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The RAM was awarded seven medals, including a Gold for their seasonal favorite Barefoot Wit, two silvers and four bronze for their hand-crafted beers from Washington, Idaho and Colorado.

“We are excited to celebrate our seven medals at this year’s North American Beer Awards. Huge accolades go to our team of talented and passionate brewers,” says Director of Brewery Operations, Dave Leonard. “We are especially pleased with the gold medal for our Barefoot Wit, which is now on tap company-wide. The timing could not have been better.” The RAM’s Barefoot Wit is also a 2007 NABA Gold Winner and a 2013 Bronze medal winner.

The Tacoma RAM brewing team won the Gold medal for their Barefoot Wit in the Belgian-Style Wit category, brewed by Blake Miller. “Barefoot is a personal favorite and one of our most popular seasonal releases. Our brewers have crafted the ideal Wit. I had high hopes when I sampled this batch as it was bottled and sent to competition, the balance of flavors seems perfect,” Leonard adds. The Tacoma team also won a bronze for Roggen in the Rye Beer category.

Proudly representing the Boise RAM location was Brewer Jake Talbot, who came home with a silver in the Barrel-Aged Beer category for Ground Hogs Revenge and three bronze medals for the Owhyee Oktoberfest, a 2015 bronze medal winner, in the Marzen-Oktoberfest Lager category, Gordo Big Pumpkin in the Pumpkin or Pumpkin Spiced Beer category and Bottle Rocket Helles in the Helles Lager category.

Also bringing home some hardware was Joe Bowden from the Fort Collins, CO C.B. & Potts brewing team. Their Irascible Zipper Barely Wine won a silver medal in the American-Style Barley Wine category.

In 2015, the company “Celebrated Great Beers For 20 Years!” In 1995, the first brewery location opened and began brewing craft beers. Their award-winning brewery program continues to be recognized as an industry leader for creating highly acclaimed and drinkable selections.
