BrickStone Restaurant & Brewery, a small-town brewery in Bourbonnais, Illinois, that debuted a handful of years ago with a tiny, five-barrel brewing system, swept the recent American Beer Classic held at Soldier Field in Chicago, taking home the title of Best Brewery & Best Beer from more than 90 of the country’s finest and most well-known craft breweries.

Some 10,000 beer craft beer enthusiasts voted for their favorite brews, handing the top three honors to BrickStone Restaurant & Brewery:

  1. Best Beer – BrickStone APA
  2. Best Beer – Belgo APA
  3. Best Beer – HopSkipNImDrunk

“We are so grateful for the support for our hand-crafted brews,” says BrickStone BrewMaster Tommy Vasilakis, “and our expansion to a new fully-automated brewhouse this fall will allow us to grow our collection and unveil even more new releases such as Blood Orange Hefeweizen and Robust Porter.”

Two of the three BrickStone beers honored at the American Beer Classic have secured additional national awards, including the BrickStone APA, which was named No. 34 of the 50 most popular beers by 2014 Beer Advocate’s, and the Belgo APA, winner of the gold medal at the 2013 Great American Beer Fest.

BrickStone has debuted two new releases during Chicago Craft Beer Week, including One Night Blonde IPA, a light malt with hop bitterness and citrus flavor and aroming coming from Galaxy and Amarillo hops, and Kaffir Lime Lemon Grass IPA, a collaboration between BrickStone and DryHop Brewers.
