The National Restaurant Association announces today BAR (Beverage Alcohol for Restaurants) at NRA Show 2015, formerly known as the International Wine, Spirits & Beer Event.

As the only beverage alcohol show dedicated to helping professionals develop a successful bar program in foodservice establishments, BAR at NRA Show 2015 will take place in the Lakeside Ballroom at Chicago’s McCormick Place on May 17-18.

The “show within a show” is co-located with the 2015 National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show, which will take place May 16-19.

2014 marked a successful year for the beverage alcohol show which moved to a new, more spacious location within McCormick Place in the scenic Lakeside Ballroom and provided new energy for the event. For 2015, a portion of the NRA Show will also move from North Hall Level 1 to Lakeside Center, becoming directly adjacent to BAR at NRA Show 2015.

Attendees will now have the opportunity to experience the two events fully integrated.

“We wanted our attendees to have a direct word association with BAR at NRA Show and its purpose, which is to connect beverage alcohol to restaurant menus and brands and vice versa,” says convention chair John Metz. “Now, not only the name, but also the location will showcase the importance of beverage alcohol and foodservice working hand-in-hand to contribute to an operation’s bottom line.”

Additional programmatic enhancements for 2015 include: increased focus on the show’s Top Buyer Program, bringing the biggest beverage alcohol buyers together; dynamic event programming for the event’s feature areas such as the Restaurant Menu Pairings Program and the hands-on Demo Lounge; and further development of new pavilions introduced last year such as Craftique, featuring limited-production producers, and Bar Necessities, showcasing non-alcoholic bar program wares.
