Good Earth restaurants on Monday, July 22, 2013 introduced what might be the Twin Cities’ most comprehensive Gluten Sensitive Menu.

“For guests with Celiac disease and gluten sensitivity, knowing what to order can be a real challenge,” says Donna Fahs, Parasole Restaurant Holdings’ divisional vice president. “Our new Gluten Sensitive Menu takes the guesswork out of the equation by listing dozens of gluten-sensitive items in one place.”

Good Earth’s new Gluten Sensitive Menu includes offerings from all categories, including breakfast, small plates, sharing plates, sandwiches, natural burgers, and entrees from the farm, garden, and the sea. Soups, salads, side dishes, and desserts are well represented, too.

Fahs also advises guests not to overlook the Monthly Specials Menu, currently featuring items like Grilled Barramundi, Kale and Heirloom Carrot Salad, and Pan-Seared Wild Keta Salmon.

“From Coconut Curried Chicken to Good Earth Stone Ground Nachos, our Gluten Sensitive Menu offers well over 50 choices,” Fahs says. “Rather than being consigned to ordering from a second tier mini-menu, our guests have endless opportunities to create and customize exactly the meal they desire.”

“We believe ‘gluten free’ is a misnomer,” Fahs says, “and that’s why we use the term, gluten sensitive.”

“We make every effort to avoid gluten in all of the dishes listed on our Gluten Sensitive Menu,” says Fahs. “Moreover, we rigorously train every member of our team – from the kitchen to the dining room – on how to meet the needs of our guests.

“At the same time, it’s important to understand that we have many whole grains in our kitchen,” Fahs continues. “Particles from those grains may become airborne. This is a fact not only at Good Earth, but at most every restaurant.

“Yet even though we can’t promise a laboratory standard of ‘gluten free’, we come pretty darn close. Good Earth is serious about meeting our guests’ needs and preferences, and the Gluten Sensitive Menu is just the latest example of that commitment.”

The new Gluten Sensitive Menu is offered at lunch and dinner at Good Earth locations in Edina and Roseville.
