MyCheck, a checkout app for restaurants and other businesses across four major markets worldwide, releases data on June 11 surrounding table turnover rates and average tips received.

Since integrating with more than 3,000 merchants, MyCheck has increased table turnover by an average of three to 10 minutes per table, leading to an extra two hours and 24 minutes of service per day. The data also revealed that MyCheck users on average typically tip 15-20 percent higher while a survey conducted of platform users showed 94 percent consider “waiting for the check” to be the most inconvenient time of a dining experience.

“People may question the impact that this kind of technology would have in an upscale environment like Gotham," says Bret Csencsitz, managing partner at Gotham Bar & Grill, a 30-year-old establishment in New York City. "The fact is that the MyCheck flow is very classy and only enhances the dining experience. Servers can focus on providing optimum service and don’t have to worry about the right time to drop a check. Everything is built straight into our point-of-sale system so operationally it is very seamless as well. In addition, our patrons have given positive feedback; they can split the bill on their own and leave when they want."

MyCheck’s technology allows users to view, split, and pay the bill in real-time directly from their mobile devices. Users can also redeem an offer and accrue loyalty card stamps. The technology comes in three forms: a standalone consumer app for iOS and Android; a white label platform for full-service and quick-service restaurant groups and chains; and MyCheck Inside, a capability that powers other consumer apps aimed at the hospitality sector. The platform is integrated within more than 25 restaurants’ point of sale systems to provide a seamless experience and recently announced its collaboration with PayPal to enable the pay-at-the-table experience for PayPal’s mobile app users.

“With a global footprint and experience with different types of merchants, we can now safely say that the value proposition of the MyCheck technology platform speaks for itself," says Tal Zvi Nathanel, MyCheck co-founder and Americas CEO. "The feedback that we get is phenomenal, and it’s wonderful to now be able to quantify the benefits with our recent findings that include up to 10 percent higher ticket prices."
