Tilted Kilt Franchise Operating is partnering with Sandwell restaurant group to bring the Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery—its jocular, Celtic style sports pub—to Omaha.

Sandwell signed an initial one-store deal to develop a Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery site in Omaha over the next 12 months, with the potential for a second location in the near future. The company is currently scouting sites for its first location, scheduled to open by late 2014.

"We are very excited to grow our current franchise partners and continue to expand the popular Tilted Kilt brand," says Mark Hanby, vice president of Franchise Development, TKFO. "We're extremely confident that an experienced and business savvy partner like Sandwell will succeed in expanding our footprint in a tremendously appealing market like Omaha."

Sandwell is a hospitality group that combines a team of skilled executives, entrepreneurs, and restaurateurs. Paul DiBenedetto, president of Tilted Management group, an area developer and franchisee, is working with Sandwell. Tilted Management group owns three Tilted Kilt locations and operates seven.

"Tilted Kilt is ecstatic to be coming to Omaha and we feel it's a great fit for our brand," DiBenedetto. "We just need to find the right real estate.”

The Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery has more than 90 locations across North America, with another 20 in development. Its menu is grounded in English, Scottish, and Irish pub food, with such offerings as Danny Boy's Shepherd's Pie and Maggie Mae Fish & Chips, served by female waitstaff wearing plaid kilts.
