The National Restaurant Association’s ServSafe food safety training program highlighted the importance of food safety on World Health Day April 7.

As part of its commitment to promoting food safety education and training nationwide, ServSafe has put together an online landing page with tools and resources for foodservice professionals.

“The National Restaurant Association’s ServSafe program is leading the way in educating today’s restaurant operators and foodservice professionals across the country in proper food safety and handling,” says David Crownover, ServSafe product manager. “We are excited to participate in this year’s World Health Day as we focus on the strides our industry has made in promoting a safe environment for the 130 million Americans restaurants serve daily.”

NRA’s ServSafe program recently issued its 6 millionth ServSafe certification.The training and certification program is recognized by more federal, state, and local jurisdictions than any other food safety certification.

Four areas of training are available including ServSafe Food Protection Manager,ServSafe Food Handler, ServSafe Alcohol, and ServSafe Allergens.
