Internationally-known musician and philanthropists Sting and Trudie Styler announced that the inaugural vintage of their Tuscan red, Message in a Bottle 2011, which launched in the U.S. in September, is now available in all major markets and via Amazon.com.

Sting explains, “In addition to our small production of Il Palagio wines that have been available in the U.S. for the past decade and always sell out quickly, we wanted to produce one in greater quantities that more of our fans could enjoy.”

“Two of the three wines are named after Sting’s songs: Sister Moon and When We Dance. Since Message in a Bottle is one of his most iconic, it’s fitting that we can produce it in greater quantities,” Trudie explains.

Message in a Bottle is the culmination of a collaboration between Sting and Trudie, viticulturalist Dan O’Donnell, winemaker Paolo Caciorgna and vintner/importer Maritime Wine Trading Collective’s CEO, Christopher Nickolopoulos.

Throughout his career, Chris has led “first to market” U.S. brand launches for renowned family estate wine producers from New Zealand, South Africa, Sicily, Tuscany, Alsace, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, and Canada.

“It is a pleasure to be part of this project,” he says. “Paolo and Dan, both amazing winemakers, have transformed the spectacular fruit from Firenze and Siena into another blockbuster wine from Il Palagio.”

“We really need to pay tribute to Chris,” adds Trudie. “His expertise with the international wine market has been a tremendous help in taking our wine business to the next level.”

Casino Delle Vie, Sister Moon and When We Dance have consistently received 90+ scores since their initial release and noted critic, James Suckling, recently awarded 91 points to Message in a Bottle. The wine retails at $19.99.
