Nona Lim is set to disrupt hot beverage foodservice with a new line of healthy bone and miso broths that are the perfect alternative to coffee and tea.

Nourishing, sophisticated, and on-trend, these broths are layered on the palate and deliver real healthy energy that consumers demand. Nona Lim debuts three flavors to foodservice at the 2015 NRA Show: Thai Curry and Lime Bone Broth, Vietnamese Pho Bone Broth, and Miso Ramen Broth, a vegan broth beverage alternative.

“Broths are the next generation of hot beverages,” says Mighty Leaf Tea founder and Nona Lim advisor Jill Portman. “Like tea, a Nona Lim bone or miso broth is a multi-sensory experience. It is layered and complex and something to enjoy throughout the day as a beverage that is nourishing for the body and soul.”

Any occasion tea or coffee is served is an excellent moment to create more sophistication and wellness with a Nona Lim broth beverage. It can be served from any hot beverage urn or pitcher and kept hot for six to eight hours.

Upscale hotels can offer it as a welcome service, a great addition to executive dining/happy hour, or butler supported turndown service. For corporate offices, single serve pouches can be kept in the refrigerator for a quick microwave in the micro-kitchen to keep employees nourished and productive throughout the day.

In a vending environment, a 12 oz. cup has an SRP of $3.99, comparable to many other popular hot beverages. Nona Lim Broths are a great alternative to keeping employees healthy, nourished, and focused naturally without caffeine.

“Bone and miso broths are a traditional and healthy hot beverage in Singapore where I grew up,“ says Nona Lim founder Nona Lim. “We are excited to offer a line of impeccably spiced broths all made from scratch with local produce and without any preservatives, additives, or excess sodium as a healthy beverage alternative.”

Nona Lim bone broths go through two levels of simmering to ensure a delicious and pure beverage product. During the first, all-natural beef or chicken bones are simmered for more than 24 hours to concentrate the nutrients and flavor.

Fresh veggies and spices are added during the second simmering to create target flavors. Each broth is sealed in BPA-free pouches without any preservatives, additives, or excess sodium and have a refrigerated shelf life of twelve weeks.

Nona Lim changed the retail soup and broth industry with a line of additive- and preservative-free soups sold in the refrigerated section of stores. The brand has grown steadily from its home base in Northern California into a national retail brand as customers discovered its superior taste and clean label nutrition.

Now, Nona Lim is set to change the food service hot beverage space by making the new trend of broth beverages more accessible, delicious, and healthy.
