Ninety-one percent of U.S. consumers believe food and beverage options with recognizable ingredients are healthier. In an effort to provide products mindful consumers want, Chef-mate announces the removal of artificial colors in the Sharp Cheddar Cheese Sauce and ¡Que Bueno! Jalapeño Cheese Sauce.

Thirty-five percent of consumers desire no artificial ingredients, coloring or MSG when dining at restaurants. With the removal of artificial colors, Chef-mate cheese sauces appeal to these consumers and have a more natural appealing appearance. The natural colors used in these newly reformulated cheese sauces create no changes to the flavor or viscosity of these versatile sauces. An additional benefit with this change is a 10 percent sodium reduction, which aligns with the demands of both operators and consumers.

“The same high-quality, authentic flavors our customers prefer are now complete with a cleaner label,” says Chef-mate Marketing Manager Todd Muller. “Sharp Cheddar Cheese Sauce and ¡Que Bueno! Jalapeño Cheese Sauce have an eight hour hold time, which is perfect for creating rich recipes like macaroni and cheese and spicy queso dip.”

In addition to the Sharp Cheddar Cheese Sauce and ¡Que Bueno! Jalapeño Cheese Sauce, Chef-mate’s White Queso and White Cheddar sauce have also been developed with no artificial colors or flavors. Simply heat and serve Chef-mate’s cheese sauces to create superior recipes with minimal labor.
