Officials of the Marriott Chicago at Medical District/UIC and Rooks Corner, An American Bistro, are proud to announce the appointment of their new Executive Chef, Jozih Korotkov.

The newly appointed executive chef at Marriott's hotel near the United Center, Chef Korotkov was previously the executive chef at Esperante, the fine-dining restaurant at Chateau Elan in Miami. Chef Korotkov's roots are in Chicago, where he created dishes at Chicago staple restaurants including Berghoff, Black Sheep, and Charley Trotter's.

Camille Garcia, director of sales, is looking forward to Chef Korotkov bringing his talents from South Beach to her hotel near west side Chicago.

"Our restaurant menu will be morphing into a more organic, natural fusion between the heartiness of Chicago and the bolder culinary trends of Miami," she says. "You can see a lot of influence from Chef Jozih's training and past experience in his cooking today."

"Making your experience legendary," Chef Korotkov says, is his No. 1 priority.

Chef Korotkov and his team can be found every Thursday beginning Oct. 16, sharing his passion for authentic German food from 4:30PM at Rook's for Oktoberfest. This buffet includes roasted pork, saubraten, chicken schnitzel, roasted corn on the cob, and assorted cakes and strudels. Complimentary German beer will be served from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., while supplies last.

Chef Korotkov and his team are also introducing the little Italy neighborhood to a Friday Fish Fry held every Friday from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
