Outback Steakhouse will debut its newest restaurant at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Gainesville, Florida. To show its support of the local community, a portion of the restaurant's opening-day sales will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Alachua County, which strives to inspire and empower the youth of Alachua County to realize their full potential to become responsible, healthy, productive, and successful citizens. The restaurant will be the newest addition to Butler Plaza and the first in the area to feature a new "Modern Australia" design both inside and out.

To mark the official grand opening, the Gainesville Outback restaurant is inviting local area residents to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony with the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce at 5 p.m.

"We love being a part of the Gainesville community and are excited to open a new restaurant with a totally new design for our guests to enjoy," says local proprietor Brian Gibson. "We're looking forward to serving out friends and neighbors the great food that they love on grand opening day and to give back to a great organization."

For a limited time, the Gainesville Outback is offering steak paired with unlimited Garlic Herb Butter Shrimp or Crispy Shrimp with new Volcano Dipping Sauce starting at just $15.99. Plus, in addition to Outback's signature bold steak dinner entrées, guests can enjoy new core menu innovations, including the new Wood-Fire Grilled Flat Iron Steak and Premium Sides, such as Steakhouse Mac & Cheese, Loaded Mash and Parmesan Fries. The restaurant will also feature a wide variety of lunch combos, starting at just $6.99, such as the Aussie Steak Tacos or the new ½ Ribeye Melt.

The new restaurant, at 3760 SW Archer Road, will replace the previous Gainesville restaurant located at 3536 SW Archer Road, and feature a "Modern Australia" design with decor that mirrors the indigenous flora and fauna, adventure, geography, and leisure of modern day Australia. Guests will also enjoy a spacious bar area that includes a community table, specialty beer, wine and hand-crafted cocktails. The new bar will also feature customized seating and furnishings and is connected directly to the outdoor dining patio.
