Huddle House turned up the heat on its expansion efforts in April with the signing of franchise agreements that will add five new restaurants in Virginia, Florida and Texas.

The restaurants will be in Suffolk, Virginia, Ocala, Florida, and three in Texas in Bonham, Paris, and Sulphur Springs. Suffolk and Ocala are scheduled to open before the end of the year along with at least one, and possibly two, of the new Texas locations.

Huddle House now has more than 400 restaurants open or under development nationwide, and the signings are the latest in an aggressive expansion campaign designed to add more than 100 new restaurants over the next three years.

The growth will be accomplished primarily through franchising by both single-unit and multi-unit investors in a range of market sizes, including urban areas, small towns, travel centers, and convenience sites. In addition, Huddle House is offering incentives to new franchisees who take over and remodel existing stores.

"Interest in the Huddle House franchise opportunity continues to grow, especially among successful business men and women looking to expand their business portfolios into new areas," says Jonathan Benjamin, Huddle House chief development officer. "These are proven, experienced franchisees who recognize the growth potential that Huddle House offers."
